The Federal Court of Appeals does not rule on a case for 7 years

TPM’s Josh Kovensky has a new piece on a strange case where a federal appeals court just hasn’t made a decision…for nearly SEVEN years and counting.

The case was reported, oral arguments were held (in February 2016), and despite input from both sides, the court has not issued a decision.

There are rumors and theories floating around as to WHY no decision has been made, but nothing that we can pinpoint or confirm. All we know is that the court has abandoned its obligation to issue a ruling in a timely manner, circumstances that legal experts describe to us as “extraordinary.”

Give it a read.
